How Long Does Laser Hair Removal Last?

Unwanted body hair can range from a daily annoyance to an embarrassing part of our bodies we go out of our way to hide. The expense of shaving, the pain of waxing, and the time spent can all be stopped with laser hair removal treatments, and Trilogy Medical & Aesthetics has the latest technology for fast, effective treatments.

Laser Hair Removal with the Soprano ICE™

The Soprano ICE™ laser hair removal system is the most cutting-edge hair removal solution available today. It’s effective for all skin and hair types because it uses multiple wavelengths to target the hair by its pigment. The low energy, high frequency wavelengths heat the hair from tip to root, damaging those in the active phase to cause follicle death. Hair absorbs more energy this way, so the unwanted hair sheds faster, resulting in fewer treatments. The addition of ICE’s™ Contact Cooling cold sapphire tip prioritizes our patients’ comfort, so all you feel is a slight tingling with minimized risk of burns.

Because the Soprano ICE™ is so versatile, it’s an exemplary tool for removing unwanted hair in nearly any area on the body, including the face, neck, arms, back, underarms, chest, bikini area, and legs.

Am I a Good Candidate?

The color of your skin or coarseness of your hair doesn’t matter. Even people with darker pigments or tanned skin are good candidates. As long as some pigment remains in the hair follicle, it’s removable with Soprano ICE™ technology. During your consultation, we assess your unique skin type and hair to customize your treatment for the most effective hair removal possible.

Laser Hair Removal Procedure and Results

Treatments with the Soprano ICE™ are incredibly fast thanks to the large spot size applicator. We use a sweeping technique of constant motion, so the procedure for smaller areas takes only seconds, and larger areas such as the back, chest, or legs take 10 minutes.

Laser Hair Removal Consultations Available

For some patients, results can be seen immediately, with continued shedding in the following 2 weeks post-procedure. Laser hair removal treatments only target the hair in the active growth phase, so we recommend 4-6 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart to target resting hair follicles transitioning into the active growth phase. This ensures all the hair in your target area is removed. The treatments are virtually pain-free, and patients are cleared to resume their normal daily activities. Excessive sun exposure throughout the treatment protocol is not recommended.

Are the Results Permanent?

The only permanent hair removal treatment approved by the FDA is electrolysis, which involves puncturing each individual hair follicle with a needle and delivering electricity to the root to kill it. This is extremely painful, time consuming, and very expensive. Multiple laser hair removal treatments will target active hair follicles over a period of time. There is no guarantee every follicle will enter into the active phase during your treatment protocol, so there’s a chance a few hairs will emerge after your sessions are concluded. However, touch-up appointments every 6-12 months are always available to remove any strays.

You don’t have to accept unwanted hair. At Trilogy Medical & Aesthetics, our treatments are designed to promote healing and wellness of the whole person, including self-confidence and happiness.
